Our mission. Our leaders. Our Church.
Our Mission: Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. -Matthew 28:19-20
The Mission sits in the heart of Downtown Redlands and provides a distinctive opportunity to show the love of Jesus Christ to the unique culture in our midst. We invite you to connect with our church family through our worship experience which involves musical worship with an eclectic mix of instruments, vibrant Biblical teaching of practical life lessons, and opportunities to build relationships with our neighbors. Our passion is to see all people in our community connect to Christ and to each other as God’s family.
Through each season of life, we believe growing in faith is the key to the fulfilled life Jesus is calling us to share with Him. The Church is God’s body of believers in our world today. God calls His Church to connect to Jesus and grow in obedience to His command to love God and love others. We offer multiple venues to foster spiritual growth for people of all ages and stages of faith. We are on a Mission to build a deeper and stronger community of Christ followers.
The Mission is not only a place of refuge but also an invitation to action. As Christ followers we empower each other to bring the light of Jesus’ love to our neighborhoods, our country and our world. Whether responding to The Mission within the walls of the church, within our local community, or reaching the ends of the earth, we desire to be the hands and feet of Jesus to share God’s hope with a hurting world.
We want to see you grow in Faith
We want to see you serve Jesus
Every Member has a Mission
Hey everyone, my name is Jason Day and I am the interim Lead Pastor here at The Mission. I was born in Kentucky, raised in Ohio and lived in New York for 6 years. My wife Kim and I have two amazing sons named Dylan (born Oct. 2006) and Owen (born July 2009). We moved to Redlands in Sept of 2012. We are so excited to be a part of the The Mission church family and the Redlands community. We enjoy spending time with friends, watching movies, going to the beach and talking to telemarketers...nope.
We have been in the ministry for over 10 years now and God keeps calling, so we keep answering. Nothing excites me more than being part of a community that is fired up about being in the presence of God. The Mission is a growing community living out God's radical love and we would love to have you join us.
Hey there, I’m Reanna Smith and I’m the Family Pastor here at The Mission! I was born and raised here in Southern California where I met my husband Joshua the-amazing-mechanic Smith. We have two dogs: Sarge the Shop Dog and Rocky Butt, along with one feisty feline named Lexi. We decided this June to join The Mission family and we are so glad we did! We enjoy going on hikes with our dogs, spending time with friends, binge watching Netflix shows, and eating delicious food. In my free time (haha) I enjoy reading, writing, photography, and making DIY products.
I have my bachelor’s degree in English- Creative Writing with a minor in Psychology. I am also a licensed minister in the C&MA. I have been involved in youth ministry for 10 years, as a student leader, youth leader, intern and assistant director. God has given me a heart for discipling and equipping young people to live out their calling. I am so excited about what God is doing at The Mission and I’m so glad he has called us to be a part of it!
Hello! I was born and raised in a Christian home in Riverside. If the doors to our church were open, my family was likely there. I love bring part of the Mission and being the Awana director! It combines the love for the Body of Christ that was fostered in my youth with the deeper desire to connect with kids and their families for God’s purposes that has grown in my adult years. Plus, we just plain have fun at Awanas!
I’ve been married to my terrific husband Bob since 1984 and we have four sons: Ryan (‘91), Matthew (‘96), Andrew (‘99), and Nathan (‘03). We also have two large dogs, a cockatiel, and more reptiles than I care to count. Besides the blessing of being a wife and mom, I have my own reupholstery business. I enjoy walking, running, hiking, camping, gardening, reading, jigsaw puzzles, and a good thrift store on a 50% off day. I’d rather be outside than inside.
You may notice that our main parking lot has limited space. We have additional parking at Beaver Medical Group which is located across the street at the corner of Fern and Cajon.
Our children are a big priority at The Mission. We want your children to have a safe and meaningful experience with us. Kidz on a Mission is down the hallway to your right as you walk into our lobby. If it is your first time, you may want to arrive early to complete our registration forms to ensure your child’s safety. You can register your child at the Mission Trolley and we will see that they are placed in the age appropriate classroom. Directly after the service you can pick your child up from their classroom. All of our volunteers and staff have had a thorough background check so you can feel like your kids are in good hands. We look forward to helping them grow in their understanding of God and enjoy time with new friends.
At The Mission we value the roots of our musical worship and strive to provide an experience in which we seek the presence of God through a passionate modern worship style. While using an electric mix of instrumentation, we span a variety of musical genres from modern worship to acoustic folk to re-imagined hymns. Other vital elements in our corporate worship time include prayer and offering. If it's your first time at The Mission, we would love for you to fill out the information card in the bulletin and place it in the offering plate so we can get to know you.
The Mission is committed to preaching knowledge of the Bible and practical applications of the message of Jesus Christ to love our neighbors.
The first Sunday of every month we take Communion. This tradition is a time of remembrance for Christ followers. If you are not a follower of Jesus you can feel free to just observe.
At The Mission we value relationships. We would love to meet you and spend time with you outside the walls of our church building. Come by and say hello!
Hop on over for an Egg-citing Easter Egg-stravaganza! Please join us at Ford Park in Redlands for an afternoon of fun for the whole family. We will have music , stories, crafts and of course an egg hunt!.
We are now offering a simple and convenient way for our Mission Family to bring their offering through Online Giving. Whether you'd like to give a single gift, or schedule ongoing donations, you can do it all online. It's quick, easy, and secure. With our enhanced service, you can give by using your debit or credit card (that you pay off each month!), or e-check, whichever is most convenient. This safe and flexible option is one of the easiest ways to support the ministries here at The Mission.
At The Mission, we don't just go to church together ... we do life together. That's what Grow Groups are all about. These small gatherings are happening through out the city of Redlands every week. These groups will help us grow together in faith by connecting us to God's word on a personal level. If you are looking for a place to belong, grow and build friendships; there is a grow group waiting for you.
Ignite Youth Ministries exists to create an environment for student’s to encounter God. We do this in such a way that is relevant and ignites change in the lives of young people, so that they become God’s spark. We want this change to occur in all aspects of their life.
